  • Nature: Longitudinal administrative database of companies (legal entities in the taxation system), not establishments.
  • Usage: The database can be used to support research on firm-level economic and productivity analysis. It is an essential database for micro-research aiming at assessing the contribution and importance of a range of economic factors that are important for understanding firm growth dynamics.
  • Content: Information on the stock of and investment in tangible and intangible capital assets for each employer business in Canada, from various schedules of T2 corporate income-tax returns.
  • Coverage period: 2000 to 2012.
